Episode Summary

2021 local election series focused on the race for Chattanooga's next Mayor. Today we feature a conversation with Mayoral candidate Dr. Elenora Woods.

Episode Notes

Our special election series features interviews with the many men and women seeking your vote to be Chattanooga's next Mayor.  Today's episode features a conversation with candidate Dr. Elenora Woods.

Early voting begins February 10, 2021 and election day is Tuesday, March 2nd.  In 2017, only 19% of Chattanooga voters turned out to select our city's leader... Our hope is that this year will be different and that through these interviews you will be more engaged and informed to make Chattanooga a better community for everyone.

In the episode, we discuss training for our local police force. At The Camp House we have hosted several events with the CPD Cadet Program that focuses on immersing cadets in the minority communities of Chattanooga. Chokeholds are also mentioned in this episode and, just to clarify, CPD officers are not trained to use nor allowed to use chokeholds or neck restraints.
